I'm Done!

I finished my blogs! This is going to be the last one and I only think it is right to write a summary about what I have been reading for the past few months. I am very excited to share for you to see what I have been reading on and how exciting it has been for me. Okay so first it begins with Jonas a regular old kid in a community and is very apprehensive about his Ceremony of Twelve. The Ceremony of Twelve is where all twelves get their jobs in the community that they will have to go through their training too. After that Jonas gets his job as Receiver of Memory he goes through some very tough training and gets transmitted memories of very harsh things from the Giver. The Giver is getting weaker every day and it is getting harder to transmit memories for the Giver. Jonas is starting to see colors and is expanding his ways of memories. As Jonas expands his memories he becomes an even greater Receiver of Memory to help his community.

Making Predictions

Okay so I am more than halfway into the book and I am going to make some predictions on what is going to happen next. I predict that the baby Gabe comes into play soon enough because why would the author put him in the story in such a big part and have him become a useless character. I do not believe that the author will make him amount to nothing so I predict that Gabe comes into the story sometime soon. I also predict that Jonas will start to see colors more often and get more understanding on what it means to be the Receiver of Memory. I think this because he has been going through training for several months now and is growing his understanding already. I also think think that Asher and Fiona will come into play soon because they are both good friends of Jonas and they are the ones who know him best. I also think that they will come into play because Jonas seems very stressed out and under a lot of pressure and they are always here for him. Finally I think that the Giver will have something wrong with him because he is getting weaker and weaker every day that Jonas goes there. I hope to see some of my predictions will come true soon in the book!

All the Colors

As Jonas is now in training for a few days the Giver is starting to tell him more and more about seeing all the colors. He then talks about what the colors will do for him and how they relate back to society. After that, Jonas goes through transmissions which will help him see all the colors not just the color red which he sees flashes of every one and a while. Jonas sees the color red at any given moment and is confused until the Giver explained what they were and said that one day he would see all the colors like the Giver does now. Jonas is growing to see all the colors eventually he will keep working at it and one day he will see all the colors. For now he will just have to keep working at it. Finally Jonas has been going to the Giver for the past couple of months and has grown of the past few months and his eye for seeing colors has improved. He gets flashes of all the colors now and again and finally sees all the reds. The Giver has been transmitting rainbows and other items to help grow his color memory to Jonas. Excited to see how Jonas reacts to seeing all the colors!

The Summary

Okay so I am about halfway done with the book. I want to give you all a brief summary of what I have been reading for the last couple months. Okay so first it starts off with Jonas. Jonas is just a regular old kid in the community. He is just like everyone else. He is turning twelve soon and about to go through the Ceremony of Twelve. He is feeling very apprehensive about this process and doesn't know what he is going to be chosen as. He is then skipped at the ceremony and then later called out to be the Receiver of Memory. His first day of training begins and he walks into the doors of the Annex. He is then called upon by the past Receiver of Memory. After that, he then receives his first transmission about sledding down a hill on a red slide. Then the old Receiver of Memory tells Jonas to call him the Giver. Now Jonas has been through a few days of training and keeps receiving memories and sometimes they are bad like war and violence and other times they are good like sitting on the beach in the warm sun. I am going to keep reading and get back to you on what is happening next in the book The Giver. Talk to you all soon going to keep reading on to see what happens next!

Read The Giver

If you want a fun action packed great read? Then The Giver is your choice. Have you ever wondered what it was like if everything was black and white? Everything was all the same? Well this book gives you a great interpretation of the feeling. As Jonas finds himself in a world of sameness he shows greatly what living in the everyday life of black and white is like. As I read this book and get more and more into it the thrill of this book and how action packed it is, is insane. This book is a strong and powerful influence that could just change your life forever. This book is about Jonas. A regular old kid in a world of sameness, and is apprehensive about the Ceremony of Twelve. The Ceremony of Twelve is a time when twelve year olds get their job in the community based on the Elder's decisions. The Elders are the heads of the community they make sure everything stays in check and running smoothly. They also choose the jobs for the twelves. Jonas is very apprehensive about this because he doesn't know what he is going to be chosen for because he has done volunteer hours lots of places and doesn't really know what he likes. To find out what he is chosen for and the struggles he goes through you have to read the book! Read on!
